Verification and Validation of X-Sim: A Trace-Based Simulator

چکیده

X-Sim is a trace-based simulator that is under current development.. It provides a way to easily simulate any application on a heterogeneous set of resources consisting of general purpose processors (GPPs), field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and, in the future, other computational elements. This paper attempts to verify and validate X-Sim, with the end goal of allowing the simulator to generate reasonably confident application performance estimates.
